The highly-rated runner produced a disappointing display last time out to finish all the way down in 13th spot in the Qipco 2000 Guineas at Newmarket, behind winner Magna Grecia.
Bin Suroor was adamant he could not see anything wrong with Royal Marine after his run at Newmarket and now hopes conditions in the French Derby will be a better fit.
‘I’ve checked everything on him, there’s nothing that has shown up, he wasn’t blowing,’ he said.
‘I think we’ll take him to the French Derby, that race might suit him.
‘I thought he’d run a big race in the Guineas, I was really disappointed.
He’s fine now, fresh and happy.’
